Delta Oscillys XL – The Large Destemmer with Sinusoidal Motion from Bucher Vaslin

The Delta Oscillys destemmer range is expanding. Already equipped with an XM model that received a special mention at the Vinitech Virtual 2020 Innovation Awards, the range is expanding with a Large version, the Oscillys XL, offering a throughput of up to 25 tons/hour in a compact footprint. Without a threshing drum, destemming shaft, or rotating cage, the Delta Oscillys guarantees efficient and high-quality destemming thanks to the unique sinusoidal motion of its hexagonal cage. Berries and stalks are then collected on a roller sorter to extract all plant parts from the harvest. The user has simple adjustments that allow them to adapt to different grape varieties, such as the oscillation speed or the spacing and speed of the sorting table rollers.

The inertia effect offers multiple advantages:

• Preserved berry integrity (and therefore limited juice production and vegetal characteristics)

• Retained stalk condition (no breakage or shredding)

• Ensured berry/pedicel separation

• Elimination of shrivelled berries, verjuice, etc, which remain attached to the stalk.
